A Brief History of Vandana and the Goals of its Christian Programming

Thank you for logging on to our Web site.

The Vandana TV program is a production of the South Asian Gospel Broadcasting Network.  This ministry began in January 1988 with a Christian literature distribution in various Asian Indian languages. Its main purpose is to communicate the love of God toward human beings and to reveal the ultimate plan for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ the Son of God.

Broadcast of the Vandana TV show began in March 1991 with weekly television shows in New York City on an Asian Indian TV channel. Within two years Vandana was being aired in major metropolitan areas across America. The Vandana TV program also has been broadcast in India and many countries on the Asian continent using satellite technology.

Since July 1997, the South Asian Gospel Broadcasting Network, following the loving example of Jesus Christ, has extended its Christian ministry into charitable works.  This Christian charity includes providing food, clothing, and aid for the poor and needy in western regions of India.

Vandana has been instrumental in bringing the message of the Gospel into many homes where it otherwise would not reach.  It is our prayer that those who read these Web pages and view the television programs may be blessed with the knowledge of true salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
